Keeping with my current theme that has mostly focused on technology the last few days, I got another one or two cool things to make a few notes about. The topic for today is a site called Giveaway of the Day. Not sure how they do it and profit, short of just promotion, but they basically get free software to give away.
Gulf Wars XVIII is coming up this March, specifically the 15th-22nd thereof down in Lumberton, Mississippi. For those of you keeping track of such things, yeah, it is time for me to make that long trek down southward again, as I have been every other year since Gulf Wars X. And this year, as usual, I will be taking horses down with me.
For those of you have missed it completely, this another Clint Eastwood movie. He both directs and stars in it in what is in my opinion one of his better roles for sometime. It is, I believe, the fourth movie he has directed in the last two years and they just seem to get better as he rolls along at an age that most of us would be looking to retire.
Not my usual kind of thing, but it came across Facebook from a good friend I found myself realizing a few new things and gained some insight otherwise. So I thought I would follow suite. I have posted this on Facebook and welcome you to do the same, if not there, do it in your own blog, MySpace, or even as a comment here. It was to be sent to 25 friends, but I figure why limit to that number? So the instructions were basically to note 25 random things about yourself. I tried to include a few things that not everyone would know as well.
So sometime back last week I was all excited about a tool that was called Ping.FM. Matter of fact I am still excited about that particular tool and rather than rehash that all here, you should just click on that link and go read. However, in the same blog entry I jumped on the bandwagon of a tool called PingPressFM – obviously a counter part to the former. I perhaps made that jump a little too soon.
