I was out a bit ago having dinner on the cheap and the phone rang. It was a dear friend of mine who particularly wanted to call me because of the hub-bub that was being caused in her store by the appearance of certain famous person. Turns out Erin Brockovich was in her store and had apparently caused a big stir in the local community. The funny thing was that Ms. Brockovich was standing in the only parking spot and my dear friend did not realize who it was when she pulled in to go to work and (ahem) politely asked her to move. Only later did she learn who it was and when the friend called Ms. Brockovich was wandering around in the store.
Back sometime in December, probably early December, I caught the movie Role Models with a friend. It thought I had blogged about it back then, but apparently I only made a note (via a draft entry to myself) that I needed to blog about it and what aspects I wanted to hit with. I admit I was a little leery about seeing it as it could be funny but it could just be dumb. I admit that a friend wanting to see it and having gotten a recommendation from another friend pushed me over the edge and I said what the heck.
I admit that I am off to a very slow start for 2009. This especially does not bode well for me and 2009, given that one of my resolutions was to try making on average a post every two days and now we are at what – January 7th and I am only just now making the first post of the year. Once again, I could make a ton of excuses. Even more so then usual given things at work and such.
