Technology Overload?

I think I have fallen into the technology pit. I see it happen all the time, especially with computers and to a lesser extent things like cameras, printers, and probably cell phones. We get up sold on features that we really do not need, desire, and a lot of cases, never use. I do not know the number of laptops I see that are ramped up technology over filled boats that weigh in closer to 10 lbs, have features out the yin-yang, and only end be used to browse the web, a little word processing, and once a blue moon a spread-sheet. After all, who really needs WAN cell based modems, 7200 RPM drives, Core-Duo based lightning fast chips, along with blue tooth in a laptop? Okay, okay… I did just order one, but then again I am the IT guy and will actually use all that to a full extent.
