Road to the Roses
First, yes, I have sucked the last few days on keeping my posts going for the month. Just got busy and absorbed. But now for something completely different. The Run for the Roses is just a little over two months away and I like to get excited about that. I played this fantasy stable thing last year that was a blast and there can be some real prize money. Oh and just so you my two leading favorites are Old Fashion and Stardom Bound, but there will be another post soon about those.
Hey folks – I know this might not be for everyone, but might be for a few of you. Go to this site, http://www.roadtotheroses.com/ and sign up if you are interested. There are several options on signing up, but the main focus is you are picking 10 horses, 2 trainers, and 2 jockeys to win points in the prep races on the road to the run for the roses, the Kentucky Derby. Once you get signed up, you pick 5 active horses so you will have to watch to see what horses are running over the weekends. When you sign up you can do it just for prestige or you can pay in $10 and get in a contest to win several different ways – completely your choice.
Real fun though is the leagues, of which I have created one. Hopefully we will get a few people in there and if so, I am going to sign up and get us a $50 prize in the league. Once you sign up, got you stable of 10/2/2 this is the league information:
