Shortest Post Ever?
As promised, my tweet stories: I have them up for comments here and over on the NYCmidnight forums for open comments, suggestions, and so on. I will bias you a bit here in a second and tell you which one is getting the most favorable reviews over there, but first, read and draw your on conclusions:
When smugly exiting the brothel, he thought, “What about my family?” He shrugged, smiled inwardly, and continued on his way.
The dogs, his only real family, looked on, while he struggled in despair with the ghoulish task at hand.
Convinced all was likely lost, she thought of the baby, her family to be, and pulled the trigger.
Assigning them numbers 1-3, in order as they appear above #3 is so far a run away favorite. The comments so far are generally very positive on that with a lot of information in a very few words, but yet it leave the reader wondering a LOT. Which was exactly what my intent on that was, so I am pleased. I had the same intent with all of them, but apparently it did not come through so much on the #1 story. A couple of people have really said they do not care for that one. The #2 has had some really interesting speculation but I will save that for a later post.
Remember, I am running a contest here on Mephistos and would love to see some entries. Post them here or on the previous story.

Okay folks - the top 25 out of each group is up and amazingly out of almost 100 entries all 3 of mine made the top 25 (I really don't think 1 is deserving of such). Anyway, aside from the judging there is also a populace vote. The voting page is http://www.nycmidnight.com/2010/tweet/firstround/1.htm
