Weekend Accomplishments
I had that big beautiful list coming into the weekend and I have really only gotten a few things here and there knocked out on the list. Of the things accomplished I am pleased, but I just didn’t get enough done, outside of the relaxation accomplishment that is. I got plenty of that done. So to review and give myself a score for a change, let me count off just what did get accomplished this weekend. Working back is how I am going to do this and hopefully I remember it all.
This evening the garage did get some final shuffling about and now the Edge can be pulled into the garage. Shauna did help with the shuffle, but I did get the temporary legs taken off the equestrian gaming equipment and additionally got a few things put away off of the table. That will facilitate a few other things happening in the getting final cleanup and organizing done down there. Really am going to have to work on the cleaning out down there. I got a good plan on that for next weekend.
This morning, me and the wife had a great late breakfast here at home and after that, we went out to Lexington. The purpose was originally to take something back, but that got left at home. While out though we went to the bookstore. While there, interestingly enough I picked up a fictional work – science fiction/fantasy at that. Been a while on that one. A few other stops and a nice late lunch out as well too.
Saturday I did get some nice blogging and work on the blogs done in the morning over coffee. Later I got a start on some stuff down in the garage. I was going to put a workbench together downstairs and so headed over to Lowe’s to get the supplies that would be required. The price of lumber for the project kind of shocked me though and I decided to defer until later – possibly looking purchasing something outright. That project also put things on hold for the garage as I needed to think about what was going to be done with some stuff.
I did go ahead and get a coat rack hanger for the front hall. After getting back home, that went up right away. If I must say so myself, it looks good and putting that up was a good option. I had also been thinking that hanging the fishing rods up was going to be a good option – so I purchased the commercial option. I had a plan for making some, but it had been stalled. After picking up my wife, we caught the Secretariat movie – which was really good! After getting home, I put up the racks and put the rods on them – they were a horizontal mount. I immediately decided I did not like them, but gave them until Sunday morning to decide for sure. That was the item that was going back to Lexington mind you.
Somewhere along the way I have caught up on most of my laundry and like I said, relaxed a good deal this weekend too. Maybe I will get a few more things done next weekend, as I will be home then too. Maybe a few things this week during the evenings.
