I have been a long time user of your software, especially the plugin/widget version that has long been available for the WordPress platform, as well as similar on some other platforms. I admit fully, that at some point in the past I did give a different multiple sharing tool of a similar nature a try, but after seeing little reason for switching across the board, after the sort experiment I returned to your fold of users. Not only have I been an avid user, but I have blogged positively of your tool several times and have in fact encouraged other users to pursue usage of your tool as well. There are so many positive things I have liked about your product as you have moved forward with it, including the ability to customize and configure to suit my own needs, look, and feel.
Okay, I have been kind of stuck in a rut the last few week with things at the office and admittedly a bit pre-occupied at home with getting ready for what has become an annual trek to the south around this time of year for Gulf Wars. That is still not a good reason to not have been getting the blogs done here like I should have been doing. Again, it is not for a lack for having things to write about but rather because of lack of time in conjunction of lack of motivation (or really wanting a break) when the time is available. That all being said, I did want to point out a couple of changes that are going to be underway here after my return, a couple of which have already started and point you have to a different blog for next week.
As I noted sometime last week in a post, I had not realized how the automation tools I had been using were feeding one another and sometimes I was getting several different ‘links’ to the same blog post on different social media sites. I had to still admit it, but basically, it was bordering on a form of spam to be sure. One of the things that I realized out of this was that while some of the automatic tools were handy for things, it leaves out some of the warmth that can from a real person making the post. Additionally, often time the automatic tagging left out the photo links.
A good friend of mine had pointed this out to me once before and I had not been to concerned about it, but today both he and another pretty good friend pointed out to me that sometimes my stuff is getting put on my wall several times. I do apologize for that to everyone, as I know I have pointed out to folks before that was a little over the top. While I did set things up at a point sometime ago to automatically pick up the posts and drop them here on Facebook and over on Twitter and another place or two, I failed to pay really close attention to the fact that those two were circularly talking to each other and so sometimes, depending on traffic, the same post could easily show up four and five times on my wall and because of that it may end up in your feed the same as well.
