A few weeks ago I posted a rather bit of a rant on one of my other blogs about how the History Channel really had little to offer any more in the regards of actual history. You can read that over on Eligius and specifically at the post NOT-History Channel. Anyway, the point is I have rediscovered an old friend in PBS. I used to be a PBS junkie prior to the explosion of things like Discovery and History channels on cable/satellite networks. My recent reentry into the PBS world with the National Parks has had me making a much greater effort at what is available.
This blog turns two today and to that end I am saying happy birthday to it!
What a day of disaster and such disappointment to be realized at one point in the day with things that occurred and friends from twenty something years ago
One of my favorite places to visit is Colonial Williamsburg. It is actually enough to almost make me trade my medieval spurs for a set of Colonial (or British regulation) cavalry spurs. It would definitely be an interest if there were a few more things a bit closer – of course there is some stuff [...]
So many big things that almost line up on decades and all in November, I thought it worthy to make a post. Included are Sesame Street, Ronald Reagan, the wall came down, and a few more. It is kind of interesting to think about the major things that have happened in my life on occasion.
