Continuing with my observation of some issues of late, here are a few more that I am feeling the need to bring up. A little bit of a political bend again, but not all of them and even the ones that are can also go into other categories. Speaking of observing, I know some folks gave some really good feedback way back when I first started the idea. How is it being viewed now? I know the biggest request I have had is more consistency with when it happens, which is something I am working on. Right now I am leaning toward Monday and keeping Friday as the big happenings in technology. Anyway, on to my observations…
It has been a few days since I have posted here and not for a lack of things to comment about. In fact, I have made a note of something to post about at about a rate of two-three per day. Obviously I have been a bit pushed for time the last couple of weeks. So, with that in mind and feeling that I really wanted to get some of this out there an almost random observations, though a good number of them are from the political arena. After all, the presidential race for 2011 got an official kick off in the last couple of weeks and that is always such a promising field for fodder coming from my mind as candidates say and do some surprising (and often dumb) things.
If you have been here to Mephistos before, you may have noticed a slight variation on the color scheme today. I am giving in to the dark, er, light, side of things and giving it a try. For those that do not recall, the typical scheme in the last year or two has been a dark green back ground with bright white text on top of it. At this point, I am giving it a try the inverse direction, which is, according to some weird law of internet acceptable visual presentation the more proper way to do things. Granted, I am just giving it a try at this point but I do welcome thoughts and opinions on the matter.
Finding Un-leashing my muse. You may have noticed over the last few weeks months that my blogging has been less than regular. I had an epiphany a couple of days ago though about that which has my muse bottled up. Now to be sure, I have had a lot of things on my mind the last couple of months, especially with figuring out what has been going on with me and diagnosed with MS, but there is more. I have this focus with perfection that gets in the way of my muse way to often.
Anyone else noticing that the more obsolete the phone book and consequently the yellow pages are becoming how many more different variations of that once major source of information come to your house? My guess is that the reality is not only are the becoming obsolete but a vast majority of them, like the ones that randomly show up my house sit unused or maybe go straight to recycling without ever having been opened. As a friend and I were discussing the other day, when was the last time you used one those archaic devices to find a service? Okay, I admit if you are from a certain older generation and have not adapted to the modern technology such as the internet or the latest smart phone maybe you are still using them. Then again, you are also not reading my blog in all probability.
