Get the idea about snow being the subject? I got a dirty little secret about the snow. Well, not so much secret as I am telling everyone here and really not all that dirty though I think a few people will not like it. I am more than a little disappointed that Central Kentucky is missing out on the big horrible snow of the season and likely to be the one of the decade and maybe even for a couple of score of years. Yeah, you heard me right, dismayed that it is missing us. I am sure some are thinking, “Are you kidding?” I mean, have we not had enough snow already this winter?
Anyone else out there listen to NPR? In the last couple of weeks they have announced both the death of a men’s suit and rock and roll. I suppose that I really should not be shocked by the latter has certainly felt the death of the former occurred sometime ago. I was a little shocked to hear both of them being announced on NPR in such a short time span and especially the suit story coming from them really means the suit is indeed dead.
Somethings are so obvious and yet they are still outstanding issues, so I thought I would post about a couple of them I have observed lately. One that comes to my immediate mind is of course screen protectors on all these different little electronic devices. I just do not get it in regards of why [...]
I have been running with the blog post a day process here at Mephistos since the first of January with an end goal of doing it every day this year. It is not always easy mind you, but generally that has to do with actually finding the time around my generally busy and hectic schedule to spend the 20-30 minutes typically required to write the post. Of course sometimes they come a little quicker than that and yet other times, when you add in a bit for finding an appropriate image that is legal to use, giving credit and doing some proof reading and editing it ends up closer to hour. Anyway, while doing this a following some other folks that are trying the same a few things I have observed that I thought I would share.
I admit it. I have a problem with Wikipedia on occasion. I find something on there, usually by getting into a Wiki article on something I am trying to verify or looking into and finding something in which I am interested. From there, a half an hour or more will be lost with my following links through of all the things that are possibly related to or at least in any way interesting to me. This is especially easy to occur if the original article or some article in the link leads to something historical. I do not know the number of times I have looked up something about Elizabeth I or Henry V and spent several long minutes engaged between the two and recalling just how they were related and the various exploits that lead from one to the other. But, Wiki has its issues and that is my point today.
