There is a constant dribble of understated obvious things by the press and announcers. As if that is not enough of a complaint, way to often they completely miss the big elephant in the room. It has caused me to eerily creep toward frustration and often verbally telling them how much they miss or how wrong they are, which I think may at times disturb my wife. Then they go the other direction with things on occasion as well, overstating things as fact that are clearly not something that they can really do – at least from a factual point. While I started this post sometime ago and have now forgotten the original issues, the constant occurrence of such incidents has caused me to revisit it and here are but two examples that really just bug.
I am still going back through the posts that have been made over the years here on Mephistos and editing, mostly for grammatical correction, though there are a few photograph and video issues that I am cleaning up in the process as well. A particular post that caught my attention a day or two back was entitled twenty-five random things. The post consisted of, you guessed it, twenty-five things – but not just any twenty-five things. They were random things about me. I like the concept and decided to re-visit the concept. Not sure how many I will have, but I will give it a go and see what we have in the end.
I know that more than one of you is already tired of and ready to be done with any technology. I have just a few additional short technological observations and I will move on to different some other more varied subjects for a few days after that – I promise. Besides, there are just so many things going on and coming up in so many different aspects of my normal everyday life, who can really blame me for having a focus on technology from time to time? Anyway, on with the observations in my typical list fashion for these shorter length observations…
I have had a lot of technology the last several weeks, but I have not gotten to one that has been on my mind a lot of late – being the question plunge into 64-bit or stay in the comfortable 32-bit world for a while longer? Though I think there are plenty of reasons to consider the latter and certainly some argument for stay 32-bit, my opinion is that the 64-bit revolution is upon us now. Some of this desire to pursue and discuss this now is because of my adventures in Windows 7.0 lately, but a good portion of it is also coming from my constant exposure to Linux, especially Ubuntu and a desire to do all I can do with both of those operating systems.
I was not really sure if this should be called favorite coffee, favorite coffees, top ten coffees or just what. I am going to give a list of some of my favorite coffees in order of how I actually like them in this post. However, I also felt it was important to designate those coffees that are either the bean or grounds to take home and make a pot (or a cup – but why bother with just a cup at that point) versus those locations where you can a cup of some of my favorites to enjoy right then and there. In addition to my favorites in each category, there are just a few coffee types that no matter what the situation I just really do not care for all that much. I full intend to list those in this post as well. So, without a clear title and no further to do about what I a posting, here we go…
