I had an epiphany just a little while ago about what I have been doing wrong on all the little side business ventures I have gotten myself involved with over the years, with the exception of my farming adventures. I tend to get focused on production types of items, that require a good deal of input, usually my time, to complete the item. And in the end, I have just that, one item that is good to be sold. What most business ventures need to be truly successful though is a product, good, or service that you make once and sell it many times.
I am writing to you to express my extreme dismay and utter disappointment in your organization that come about as of the recent letter I received from you. Your letter indicates that effective March 1st my account that I have with you will begin to be charged a $5.00 monthly service fee. The letter goes on to indicate that this is because of the cost of my account and specifically in regards to having maintained an average daily balance of less than $200.00. My first reaction was you have got to be kidding me and my reaction since that time has went to m a much more negative place.
Those who know and read know that it is an inside joke with some folks I know from McAfee that you just do not offer poor customer service to someone from the little spot in the road I did most of my growing up called McAfee or they will just take their business elsewhere. I am left in a icky place after my dealings with Insight, over the last week but especially yesterday. But to really get the full picture I have to make up to Friday a week ago, on the 3rd of February…
If you know me, you know well that I am always on the look out for a deal. Actually, maybe that needs a bit of clarification. I do not just go for any deal, but rather when I have decided what it is that I want and/or need in a given moment, usually with an amount of thought behind it in direct proportion to the cost, I am looking for the deal on that item. So, that being said, I have no problem with using some of the loyalty and/or reward cards out there to purchase those things that I am after, as I am usually getting a better deal. However, that being said I think the company’s are starting to go to far with these kind of cards, and I for one, am starting to question some of the usage.
Not sure of the exact nature of it, but I have been extremely irritable the last couple of days. I do not really think it is me so much as it is the environment in which I find myself. I thought it worthy of sharing with you all and seeing if it was just me and some needless irrational aggravation on my part or if there really is some justification for my being so easily angered about these minor situations? So, here we go with raffle & giveaways, left-hand turners at stop signs into major traffic, and the truck and trailer who thinks parking in the street at rush hour is their right.
Tamcor Fitness Center, located not far from where I live here in Jessamine county is getting both of my thumbs down on their way of doing business today. I really hate that too, as it was a nice little gym that is really close to the house and I was planning on using them again this winter if they had a similar offering on a month to month basis as they did late last fall. As of today though I will not however set foot back in there in this lifetime as a paying customer, primarily because of really poor customer service but also just general business practices that I think are in the best light shady.
