Mojo

UK Smiling - Mojo is BackI realized late last night (or was that early this morning?) that I was on the verge of completely loosing my mojo, motivation, muse,  etc.  After all it has been officially 2 days that I did not post here, but really 4 counting the weekend and that was supposed to be time spent working on other blogging projects, which did not happen either.  I began to think about the awesome win the Wildcats had last night after a couple of off games, and obviously everyone has a problem with motivation at times.

So to explain, the UK Wildcats basketball team are currently ranked number 1, expected to win the NCAA tournament and maybe even run the table on the season with no losses.  They were romping top 25 teams in the preseason for the most part, but the first two games in the conference (where they were not supposed to have competition) went into overtime with tie at the end of regulation.  This was mostly because they were not play with the intensity and energy they had in previous games.  Last night, they got their mojo back and had a statement win.

After some thought, I feel like I really need to do that in a big way with my blogging plans.  I am curious though, just what do you other bloggers do to get that going for you?  I know what I can do for one or two blog posts, but that doesn’t translate to a volume of work for a few blogs over time and the support things that are involved with the project.  What do you do?

  1. I know nothing about sports, but I like how it got you back trying to get engaged with your work.

This is only my second week of blogging EVER. So I think I’m still in the honeymoon of it, because I’m still very excited about everything. One thing that really gets me excited and pushing to post stuff are my loved ones. I am getting bombarded with things they want to hear about, topic, information, tips they find on FB, ect. I’m not sure I would be as excited about posting if it wasn’t for the supportive push I am receiving day to day.

Good luck finding something that pumps you up!!!!

    1. Thanks the for the comment. I wish you will with your new blogging endeavor. It was probably about 3 years before my hobby blog began to get serious. But that is also when the ‘honeymoon’ started to occasionally be over. Hopefully you will have no such problems and welcome to the blogosphere!

  2. Hey Ray,

Well my blog is a little different, but what I’ve done from time to time is plan out an entire MONTH of blog posts. What I find is that one title spills into the next and I eventually end up with a themed week, or maybe a few days of the same theme. So even if I come to my blog list and I don’t want to right about that title, I know what the theme is so I write on that. Just having a list of ideas in front of me already always helps me.

Glad you got your mojo back!

    1. I have been trying to plan out the entire month of blog posts or at least a few weeks worth. But then I find myself finding other things write about. Or was yet, just not feeling all that inspired about the topic that I have planned out if that makes any sense. Case in point, I did that a couple of weeks ago. When I got to Monday, the topics I had left just did not excite me so I ended up skipping Monday completely.
